PhantomRank exists to answer a simple but uncomfortable question for brands and agencies in 2026: “How do AI assistants talk about us when buyers ask for recommendations?”

Buyers don’t just “Google and click” anymore. They ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot and Grok what to use, which bank is safer, which SaaS tool is reliable, or which agency they should talk to. Your brand either appears in those answers, as a recommendation or citation, or it doesn’t.

How PhantomRank Works Under the Hood

We care deeply about how the data is produced, not just how it looks in a chart. PhantomRank runs on a multi‑engine, multi‑prompt pipeline designed to be transparent and repeatable.

Multi‑engine scans

We query the major AI engines in parallel—ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok and Perplexity—through a standardised API layer, and log the exact model versions used for each run. This makes cross‑engine comparisons meaningful instead of anecdotal.

Buyer‑journey prompts, not just keywords

For each brand, we generate conversational prompts that mirror the buyer journey (Top‑of‑Funnel exploration, Middle‑of‑Funnel comparisons, Bottom‑of‑Funnel shortlists). Your team can review and edit these prompts, personas and intents so the “test” reflects real customer language, not our guess.

Three‑layer visibility + semantic resonance

Every answer is analysed at three layers: Mentions (are you named), Citations (is your domain linked), and Crawl Pool (were your pages crawled but rejected). On top of that, our Odin engine embeds the AI’s response into vector space and compares it to your brand’s DNA cluster to measure how accurately the assistant describes you.

Industry and supply‑chain audits

Beyond individual brands, PhantomRank’s Industry Metrics and Generative Supply Chain Optimisation features audit entire verticals. Built for Agencies, Not Hype

PhantomRank is being shaped with agencies first. Much of our roadmap comes directly from agency workflows: what data needs to be in a client‑ready report, how visibility ties into existing SEO and content processes, and where CRM signals should feed back into brand perception.

We’re deliberate about what we refuse to do:

Our role is to be the feedback layer on top of what teams already do—SEO, content, PR, community work—not to replace those disciplines.

The goal is simple: make “how AI sees us” as measurable, honest and actionable as web analytics, and give agencies a clear, transparent way to use that insight in their everyday work.
